Festival Tonight at the Zoo! How to get $5 off admission at the door.
Still don't have your tickets for tonight's big festival? Never fear. You can still get $5 off admission at the door AND support a great cause at the same time!
The Community and Caring Initiative of Believe in Syracuse is hosting a feminine hygiene drive for low-income and homeless women and girls in need of tampons, sanitary napkins, disposable cleansing wipes, and condoms in the Greater Syracuse community. Benefiting organizations include Hope Print, Samaritan Center, CanTeen of Central New York, and Vera House. If you bring a box of one of these items you get admission for $25 instead of $30!
The event is all throughout the indoor zoo, the banquet room, the lower and upper lobby as well as the courtyard, so there will be a lot to explore! The event was spotlighted in a great report on WAER 88.3 Radio about how events like these can break down barriers and bring people together. Click here to check it out. I was also on Channel 5 on TV yesterday and the event is on Syracuse.com this morning!
When so often our country seems divided these days, this event will be doing our part to bring people together from diverse backgrounds and cultures and break down barriers. Art, food and music are things we all enjoy.
Can't wait to see you TONIGHT Friday the 18th from 5:30 - 9PM at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo!
