If you'd like to get involved, joining one of our committees is a great place to start!
Community Service Committee:Mission: To emphasize purposeful volunteerism and programming that strengthen the community.
Goals: We commit to 4 major projects a year and take on independent projects, events, and volunteer opportunities to the best of our ability. In particular, we seek to promote on-going adult/youth literacy development and efforts to address critical every-day needs in Syracuse.

Previously organized the first ever Syracuse Neighborhood Olympics. Focus for 2017: Neighborhood Art and Beautification Projects for neighborhoods who won Olympics. Currently, the committee has an Arts Passport Program, which promotes local art organizations and is hosting a "Creativity Crate" giveaway which will allow people who find these crates to create a piece of art with the contents and have it hung in the Everson! The Neighborhood Committee has recently merged with the South Side Neighborhood Team. If you're interested in working with this group.
Fundraising Committee:Do you enjoy raising funds for a good cause? Are you passionate about Believe in Syracuse and our events? This is a special committee that organizes our two biggest annual events, recruits corporate sponsors and major gift donations. If you have experience organizing major events or doing this type of fundraising, this is the committee for you!

Our members are the lifeblood of our organization! The membership committee focuses on five important factors to let our members know how much we appreciate them: membership engagement, new member welcoming, recruitment, retainment, and marketing.
