1. A Historic Moment: The restoration of Hotel Syracuse is an occasion for Central New York that can not be overstated. Since the 1920's, this building was home to the beating heart of Syracuse. The weddings, the high school proms, the St. Patrick's Day events, the entertainment, the celebrity appearances... there is so much history and so many memories in that building. When it closed 10 years ago, it was as if the heart of a community was crushed. Now that it has come back to life, there is so much to celebrate.
2. A Beautiful Venue: The event will take place on the first floor. You'll get to see the lobby, the beautifully restored mural above the old reception desk and dinner will take place inside the Persian Terrace (see below via CNY Central) which will be set up as it would be for a wedding.
4. Network with Impressive people: We are incredibly excited about who will be in the room. There will be business owners, local personalities and if you attend the event you'll have a chance to mingle with everyone. For example, some of the tables of 10 that have been sold were bought by CenterState CEO, Wegmans, AP Professionals, Peppino's and Darco Manufacturing. There will be impressive folks from all walks of life, a big reason to buy a ticket, two tickets or a table of 10 before Monday's deadline.
5. Support Syracuse: When you buy a ticket or a table for the Progress Gala, all proceeds will go toward advancing the mission of Believe in Syracuse. It will help us buy trash bags, and gardening tools for neighborhood beautification projects. It will help fund our Northside and South Side Neighborhood teams that serve neighborhoods in need. It will allow us to stick around and organize volunteers for community service projects for years to come.
